Vocations
The campus is the perfect place for cultivating vocations. Colleges and universities are packed with young people trying to figure out their place in the world, and God's plan for them! Over half of all students come to college without knowing what they really want to do. Many who have an idea change it while they are there. Here are some things to consider in dealing with vocation awareness:
1. The first place to get ideas and help is the ((Arch) Diocesan vocation office or director. Chances are there are resources and programs already in place that you just need to access. Many have teams available to come and conduct retreats and other programs. USE THEM!
2. There are thousands of catholic missions that have opportunities for graduates or even summer programs for undergraduates. You probably receive a lot of their mail! Why not do two things:
3. Run a missions program of your own during break. Involve interested students in the planning and fund raising. Incorporate discernment activities in the program.
These are just a few ideas. Have one? Share it with campus ministers around the globe! email campusministry@catholicyouth.org
